Alesia C. Chicago cocktail dress is inspired by the original pencil illustration of “CHICAGO” skyline, designed by Alesia Chaika in 2013. Sketching by hand using pencil, for over a month, drawing one inch every day to replicate the beautiful architecture of Chicago, the Navy Pier and all the gorgeous landmarks in the city, including the state of the art Chicago Harbor Lighthouse in the center of artwork. The original masterpiece is 27.5” (70 cm) long. This illustration puts a different twist on the iconic Chicago skyline. After the original drawings were ready, Alesia Chaika transferred them onto fabric, creating the dress pattern and crafting into a beautiful art-inspired cocktail dress at her Alesia C. atelier located in Buffalo Grove, IL USA.
